Why was I called a 'scrounger'? I understand the rest but what?

Well, fact you said none of her business about whether you had a job or not pretty much said you didn't...hence "scrounger". Not saying you are one, and quite frankly no idea why that mattered to the lady in the first place as it had nothing to do with the situation...I guess she was bummed she wasn't getting any.
