I have to make a decision please help?

i'm a 13 year old boy. I go to a school that's not a boarding school or a delinquent school but you do live in it for the school year. the dorms are Apollo,Gemini, Columbia, and Discovery. For dinner the school pretty much makes food to fill the whole table. There's one table for each dorm and the tables are very long. I'm really really hungry but my best friend has been sick all day and couldn't go to class. I have to make a choice between staying with him or going to dinner. I want to stay with my friend but i'm hungry. what should i do?
