Problem with delinquents?

I am 18, my family moved into the house I am in now, when I was one. The people across the street have always been problematic, and now there always seems to be a whole gang of them. They're always out there racing up and down the streets, on their bikes,smoking, and what not. I'm not saying their trouble just delinquents from what I know of. Last night I was at my grandmas and according to my dad, the gate to out back yard had been ripped off. That would take a group of people, and according to him one of the kids in their little gang was a big over six foot kid. I'm not reporting a problem but I would like maybe some advice, because at times I feel scared to go out of my own house, and with the gate thing it seems clear that someone has something against us.
